I Will Wait For You

The Hymn “Psalm 130”, written by Keith Getty, was the first of the Psalms set to new, modern music in response to his stated goal of setting all 150 of the Psalms to music. The text of Psalm 130 is a lament expressing the deep sorrow and penitence for committed sins and the knowledge that God can and will redeem His people from their sins if they cry out for mercy. After asking for forgiveness and believing God will hear his cry and will follow through with His promise, he confidently sings “I Will Wait for You, surely wait for You, on Your word I will rely. I will wait for You, surely wait for You, till my soul is satisfied!”

This version of the hymn is performed by artists Shane & Shane, a Contemporary Christian Musical duo. Enjoy this rendition.
